Moissanite Cross Studs
$80.00
The entry piece in the earring line. Fully paved, properly proportioned, and small enough to wear with anything. If someone is buying their first moissanite, this is usually it.
About the stone
Moissanite is its own gemstone. It was first found in a meteorite crater in 1893 by Nobel laureate Henri Moissan, and today it is grown to that same atomic structure in a lab. With a refractive index of 2.65 it throws more fire than anything else in its price range. This is the stone for people who know exactly what they bought.Specifications

Moissanite, answered
Is moissanite a real gemstone?
Yes. Moissanite is silicon carbide (SiC), a distinct mineral first discovered in the Canyon Diablo meteor crater in Arizona in 1893. It is not a diamond simulant and not a substitute — it is its own stone, with its own hardness and its own optical behaviour.
Will moissanite pass a diamond tester?
Most common diamond testers read thermal conductivity, and moissanite registers as diamond on those. Testers that also measure electrical conductivity will correctly identify it as moissanite. We are upfront about what our stones are: silicon carbide, not diamond.
How durable is moissanite for everyday wear?
Moissanite scores 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale, second only to diamond at 10. That puts it well above the stones used in most fashion jewelry and makes it suitable for daily wear, including chains and bracelets that take knocks.
Does moissanite look different from a diamond?
It has more fire. Moissanite has a refractive index of 2.65 against a diamond at 2.42, so it throws noticeably more rainbow flashes in direct light. Some people prefer that look — it is the reason we build with it rather than around it.
What are the shipping, return and warranty terms?
US orders ship free and every order is tracked door to door. If a piece is not right you have 30 days from delivery to return it, and every Amison piece carries a 12-month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
